A youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house in Batla House, according to a resident.
Since morning words have been doing the rounds in the locality about the incident which, according to residents, took place on Monday night.
Youth leader Mahmood Ahmed told OT over phone that the 19-year-old boy was residing with his family on the fourth floor of a building near Qadri Mosque from where the body was found hanging from the ceiling.
A report has also surfaced on the social media.
